Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD)
Six residents are admitted to the 12 month program each academic year. The curriculum is designed to refine and advance knowledge and clinical skills in the practice of dentistry. Lectures and other educational experiences provide training in the basic and behavioral sciences, clinical sciences and practice management. On completion of this program an advanced education certificate in general dentistry will be awarded. This training prepares the dentist to improve the quality and delivery of comprehensive dental services, education, health promotion and wellness for the patient. AEGD residents receive didactic and clinical training in all of the clinical disciplines in general dentistry, in particular advanced restorative techniques including dental implants.
